Oh Mama!

Mindfulness and Support Podcasts To Sustain You During Motherhood

For some women, motherhood is not just bliss, smiles and joy. Motherhood can cook up a particularly ripe environment for judgement – from and toward other mothers. Motherhood can be made doubly hard if everywhere we turn we only see a tribe of adversaries. Mindfulness practice tames the brain’s old adaptations to compare all the time so we as a tribe of mothers foster a vibe of mutual support.

Settle in and listen to these twenty minute podcasts that include a brief talk followed by ten minutes of guilded meditation. Here at Psyched in San Francisco we want to create a mother to mother tribe in mind and heart that carries us all through the day and ripples out to our whole community.

Our wish is next time you are at the market, at the playground or at a school function that you root other mothers on who are in a tough spot with their kids…you offer support, a smile, help or kindness rather than judgment. What could our city be if women stood together in this way every single day championing one another?
